THE INDIGENOUS CHIEF OF PULÓ, HE IS THE DEITY OF THE FOREST. HE IS A  HUNTER AND  A FIERCE WARRIOR LOVED BY HIS PEOPLE. ALTHOUGH PHYSICALLY STRONG AND POWERFUL, PANGLIMA DOMINATES KAPRE, BY CRUELLY PUNISHING HIS PEOPLE, THE TIPUSLADS.

THIS IS HIS STORY…

Pang-lima has twisted everything. He has stolen the magical rain cloak the forest spirits has bestowed upon my clan since the beginning of time. He has unlocked its secrets and he is using it against me and my people! Pang-lima’s powerful evil sorcery has each of us in the grip of an invisible collar that tightens and chokes, forcing us to follow his bidding. So powerful is his magic that we have failed to overcome him even with the combined energies of my sister, Dang Kalipai and Deres’ twin spirits. Oh pity upon my people! Only a handful has survived. Most of our men are gone. Once we lived in peace and joy. Now there is only chaos and pain.

My salvation from this madness is to sit on the sturdy branches of my favorite tree. Its masses of deep brown roots serpentine a craggy boulder that emerges from the river’s edge. I make simple offerings, smoke tobacco, chew betel nut, and call upon the sacred forests spirits, the ancient ones, to hear my prayers and to show me the way and fill me with hope and wisdom.

Vicious as he might be, it is clear Pang-lima loves his daughter. He does not seem to know of his poor lonely daughter’s sufferings. Woe is your future, Pang-lima, for your precious bloodline ends with your daughter Matén-loh.

Lately his magic has succeeded to manipulate the path of the winds. He is up to no good. Yet, strangely, I feel something is about to change. Pang-lima, the evil energies you are churning will rear its ugly head and swallow you whole!
